Dame Vivienne Westwood’s collections have gone through more transformations than Jocelyn Wildenstein. From bohemian to punk and even paganism, Westwood’s pieces channel her ideas through fashion. Her latest offering, the Get a Life jewelry collection (produced in conjunction with the Palladium Alliance International), is intended to represent “hope, renewal and preservation.”
Launching during London Fashion Week with a kickoff soiree at the Wallace Collection (London’s answer to the Frick), the pieces are made entirely from — you guessed it — palladium, a natural material. All of the pieces are inscribed with messages from Westwood’s eco-conscious spring/summer 2010 collection, which was called Planet Gaia. What better way to wear your heart near your sleeve? The necklace will be available to order this spring at Vivienne Westwood Frame boutiques in Los Angeles, or go to viviennewestwood.co.uk.
