Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day Saturday January 13

Don’t think you have hazardous waste at your house? Look at the list of accepted items below and see. There are four drop-off sites around the Las Vegas. Also be sure to check the calendar for monthly free dump days at the Sandy Valley Transfer Station.

When: Saturday, January 13th, 9AM to 3 PM

Where: Republic Services Recycling Center
333 Gowan, North Las Vegas

Henderson Transfer Station
560 Cape Horn, Henderson

Sloan Transfer Station
4455 Sloan Road, Sloan

Laughlin Landfill
Off Needles Highway
(approximately 1 mile south of Highway 163)

Accepted Items:

Paint thinners, solvents, paint removers, gasoline, diesel fuel, lighter fluid, waste oil, batteries, pesticides, fertilizers, drain and oven cleaners, adhesives, pool chemicals and aerosol cans.

Not Accepted:

Explosives, ammunition and pressurized gas cylinders

Residents attending the collection event must bring a copy of their last Republic Services bill and valid photo identification.
