Sandy Valley man jailed on suspicion of murder
According to an article on sbsun.com a Sandy Valley, Nev., man is being held in California on suspicion of murder in the May 12th death of Charles Gibson.
Roger Clark, 52, of Sandy Valley, Nev., was extradited from Clark County, Nev., about 2 p.m. Thursday. He was being held in lieu of $1 million bail at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
"He had been fighting extradition in Clark County. They had a hearing and the judge said, `You're heading back to San Bernardino,"' said San Bernardino County sheriff's Sgt. Rick Ells.
Clark is charged in the May 12 slaying of Charles Gibson, 46, whose charred body was found in the burnt husk of a motor home in Sandy Valley, south of Two Hawk Ranch Road near the state line, authorities said.
Officials have not disclosed a motive for the slaying or the nature of the relationship between the two men.
An autopsy showed that Gibson may have been alive at the time of the fire and may have been murdered, according to a sheriff's news release.
Investigators identified Clark as the suspect in Gibson's death.
