Sandy Valley Road Closed

Sandy Valley road is closed between Sandy Valley and State Route 161 because of snow and icy conditions on the road. Several accidents have been reported this morning. Clark County public works is responding with a snow plow that is expected to arrive around 8:30 this morning.

Other routes from Sandy Valley to Las Vegas are also impassible. State Route 160 at Mountain Springs has had several inches of snow. One observer reported traffic at a standstill in both directions. Clark County Fire Department units are working several accidents on I-15 and report heavy traffic and slow-downs on I-15.

Update: As of 8:30 traffic is again being allowed over Columbia Pass.
