Sandy Valley Clean Up Day 2006

The date of the Sandy Valley Clean up will be April 15, 2006. Please note this date is different than some of the early information.

THE DATE WAS CHANGED TO MAKE SURE SANDY VALLEY HAD ALL OF THE RESOURCES OF REPUBLIC SERVICES AVAILABLE TO THEM.

WE APPRECIATE YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON APRIL 15, 2006.

Clean Up

The clean up will start at 7:00 a.m. and run until 3:30 p.m. (or until the dumpsters are full.)

This is a free service available only to subscribers of Republic Services. Please bring your I.D. and latest Republic Services billing.

This is a great opportunity to remove some of the unwanted trash and debris on your property. Wood, metal, tires, furniture and appliances are all welcome. Batteries, motor oil and paint may be taken on a limited basis, but needS to be segregated from the other trash. Please let one of the event supervisors know.

We have requested that Republic Services make the dumpsters available by 7 a.m. If they are late in arriving, we will ask folks to form a line or return later. Under no circumstances should anyone leave their debris on the ground at the community center.

Please do not come before the start time, and please come prepared to deposit your debris IN THE DUMPSTERS. Please do not drop off anything after the event ends. We will loose the ability to use the community center if there is anything left behind after the event ends, and the community will be deprived of this great opportunity.

BBQ

The BBQ is free to everyone in the community, regardless of whether you participate in the clean up.

The Sandy Valley Citizens Advisory Council requested and was approved for a grant from Clark County that will provide the food and beverage. Your Sandy Valley Volunteer Fire Department will prepare the BBQ in front of the fire station. The BBQ will run from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please come join your neighbors and celebrate your wonderful community.

If you have any questions, please call Chris Munhall, Clark County rural towns liaison, at 702-455-0341.
